Born from journals dating back to the late 1800s, JET Bourbon is crafted slowly in Danville, Kentucky, honoring the quiet discipline of J. Elmer Turner, who believed great whiskey should never be rushed. Matured through real Kentucky seasons and shaped by charred American oak, it reflects a legacy carried forward for five generations.

Every batch is intentional, rooted in limestone water, local grain, and the principles Turner wrote over a century ago.

J. Elmer Turner (1872–1948) -

Bourbon in Kentucky was once personally crafted in barns and back rooms by people who knew every grain by hand. For J. Elmer Turner, it was more than a drink: it was a refuge from long days of work and responsibility.

Born in Berry’s Lick, Kentucky, in 1872, he grew up with early responsibilities on the farm and a deep respect for patience and discipline. At Centre College in Danville, his curiosity for science and oak turned into a quiet obsession with bourbon. By night, he polished a small copper still and filled leather-bound journals with mash bills, temperatures, and notes on character.

His whiskey was never about fame. Locals simply said, “Turner makes the good stuff.”

Today, every bottle proudly carries his name, a tribute to the man who never rushed what mattered.
